Job Summary
Applications are invited for a temporary position of Technical Officer at the Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IITGN) under the Center for Creative Learning for the project titled “30-30 Eklavya 2024-26”. This is a 1-year appointment offering a consolidated monthly remuneration ranging from ₹1,00,000/- to ₹1,65,000/- depending on the candidate’s qualifications and experience.

Eligibility / Qualification
- Essential Qualification: B.Tech./B.E./M.Sc./Professional Qualification or equivalent qualification in an appropriate discipline (e.g. design / visual media / mass communication) with a minimum of 12 years of post-qualification experience.
- Candidates should have a minimum of 60% or equivalent grade in percentage/grade points from Graduation onwards and 55% or equivalent grade in class 10th and 12th.
Job Description & Desirable Skills
The ideal candidate will be an accomplished filmmaker and visual storyteller responsible for leading the video team to conceptualize, produce, and create high-quality educational video content.
Creative & Editorial
- Demonstrated experience in conceptualizing and producing high-quality educational, documentary, explainer, or knowledge-based visual content.
- Strong visual storytelling skills to translate complex scientific or technical concepts into engaging narratives.
- Excellence in filmmaking with a strong portfolio showcasing direction, cinematography, editing, screenplay writing, or post-production.
- Experience developing original visual metaphors, demonstrations, and storytelling approaches for educational content.
Production Leadership
- Experience leading end-to-end video production, including planning, shooting, post-production, quality assurance, and timely delivery.
- Experience working with multidisciplinary teams including researchers, educators, scientists, writers, designers, editors, animators, and external partners.
- Ability to manage multiple productions simultaneously while maintaining creative and technical standards.
Audience Development & Additional Qualifications
- Understanding of digital content strategy, particularly YouTube and online video platforms, audience engagement, and analytics.
- Experience collaborating with academic institutions, scientists, educators, or subject-matter experts.
- National or international recognition through film festivals, awards, or professional showcases is an advantage.
