Scientific Assistant Position at ICGEB, New Delhi

Applications are invited for one temporary position of Scientific Assistant/Field worker at the International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB), New Delhi. The position is within the Plant Microbe Interactions group for a project funded by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India.

Position Details

• Designation: Scientific Assistant / Field worker
• Research Area: Plant Microbe Interactions
• Location: ICGEB, New Delhi, India
• Duration: Initially for five months, extendable until 31st July 2028 based on performance and availability of funds.
• Salary: Rs. 18,000 + 27% HRA (Terms as per DST office memorandum dated 10th July 2020)

Eligibility / Qualification

Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university or institution.

Job Description

The selected candidate will be involved in routine laboratory tasks, including:

• Media preparation
• Plant tissue culture
• PCR
• Molecular biology work
