Summary: Applications are invited from residents of Uttar Pradesh for the post of Junior Research Assistant (JRA) at a fixed stipend of Rs. 28,000/- per month in a Council of Science & Technology U.P. (CSTUP) sponsored project at the Department of Electronics Engineering, IIT (BHU) Varanasi.

  • Duration: Sanctioned up to Two Years (2025-27); purely temporary and coterminous with the project

Eligibility / Qualification

  • Citizenship & Residency: Only Indian citizens who are residents of Uttar Pradesh are eligible.
  • Essential Educational Qualification: B.E/B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering or allied branches with First Class (≥60% marks or equivalent grade) OR M.Sc. in Electronics, Physics, or allied areas with First Class (≥60% marks or equivalent grade). Candidates possessing M.Tech/higher qualifications in the relevant discipline will also be considered.
  • Age Limit: Upper Age Limit is 28 Years on 1st April 2026 (relaxable as per GoI Rules).
  • Desirable Qualifications: Valid GATE qualification in Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE), or NET qualification in Electronic Science / Physics, or any other national-level eligibility examination in the relevant discipline. Consistently strong academic record with no backlogs.
  • Preference: All things being equal, SC/ST candidates will be preferred as per GOI rules.

Job Description

The selected candidate will work on the CSTUP-sponsored research project titled “Development of Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Medical Things-based Wearable Cuffless Blood Pressure Monitoring Device for mHealth Applications.” Responsibilities include executing project objectives, research tasks, and development work as guided by the Principal Investigator.
