Applications are invited for two temporary positions of Project Technician Support -I at the Department of Urology, Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi. The positions are for an ICMR-funded research project titled “Integrated Transcriptomic and Metabolomic Profiling of Clear Cell Renal Cell Carcinoma: Biomarker discovery and precision therapeutics”.

Job Description

The selected candidates will work on the research project sanctioned by ICMR, New Delhi. The positions are purely temporary and co-terminus with the project.

  • Emoluments: Fixed amount of Rs. 18,000 per month + HRA (20%)
  • Duration: Maximum of 04 Years (subject to project requirements and performance)

Eligibility & Qualification

Essential Qualification

  • Graduate in a relevant subject with 2 years of experience in a relevant subject.
  • OR
  • A first-class 12th standard in Science + Diploma (MLT/DMLT/Engineering) + Five Years of Experience in the relevant subject/field.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Post-graduate degree in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Molecular & Human Genetics, Zoology, Animal Science, Pharmacy, Life Sciences, or Allied Areas.
  • Experience in fundamental techniques in cell and molecular biology, and cancer biology.

Age Limit

  • The upper age limit is 35 years for general category candidates.
  • Age relaxation of 3 years is applicable for OBC candidates.
  • Age relaxation of 5 years is applicable for SC/ST, physically handicapped, and female candidates, as per Government of India rules.
