Project Associate I (Yeast Engineering) Recruitment at ICGEB, New Delhi

The International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB), New Delhi, is seeking applications from qualified candidates for the position of Project Associate I (Yeast Engineering). This position is under a Biofoundry project funded by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India, focusing on AI-ML-guided strain engineering of Yeast and E. coli.

Job Overview

The selected candidate will contribute to advanced strain engineering and bioprocess development. The position is initially available for a duration of six months and is extendable based on the candidate’s performance.

Eligibility / Qualification

• Educational Qualification: M.Sc. or M.Tech in Biotechnology or a related field.

Job Description

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

• Executing molecular biology and biochemical experiments related to the development of genetically engineered yeast strains.
• Bioprocess development of engineered yeast strains for product formation.

Salary

Rs. 31,000 per month + HRA
