University Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (UIPS), Panjab University, Chandigarh has issued an official notice inviting applications for the position of Ph.D. Research Fellow under the Kidar Nath Gaind Pharma Research Fellowship (KNGPRF) scheme. Candidates with M.Pharm and GPAT/GATE or national entrance exam qualification can apply for this fellowship program.

Job Summary

This fellowship opportunity is available at the UGC Centre of Advanced Study (UGC-CAS), University Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Panjab University. The selected fellow will work on research in Pharmaceutical Chemistry for a duration of two years.

Key Position Details

  • Designation: Ph.D. Research Fellow
  • Research Area / Specialization: Pharmaceutical Chemistry (under the supervision of Professor Ranju Bansal)
  • Location: University Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (UIPS), Panjab University, Chandigarh, India
  • Emoluments: Rs. 11,000/- per month (for two years only)

Eligibility / Qualification Criteria

  • Educational Qualifications: B.Pharm and M.Pharm with a minimum of 55% marks (50% in case of SC/ST/PH candidates). M.Pharm must be in a related specialization.
  • Examination Qualification: Candidates must have qualified GATE, GPAT, Ph.D. Entrance Test, or any National Entrance test exam conducted by any Central Government department.
  • Preferences: Preference will be given to candidates possessing good publication records and relevant work experience.

Job Description

The candidate will be enrolled as a Ph.D. Research Fellow under the Kidar Nath Gaind Pharma Research Fellowship (KNGPRF) scheme at UIPS, Panjab University. The candidate will carry out research in Pharmaceutical Chemistry under the guidance of Prof. Ranju Bansal. Evaluation for the post will be conducted based on marks obtained in B.Pharm and M.Pharm, GATE/GPAT scores, number and quality of research publications, presentations, patents, and other research accomplishments.

Selection Process & Interview Details

Eligible candidates will be called for an interview. No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.

  • Requirement: Candidates must bring all relevant original documents to support their application.
