JRF Recruitment under Externally Funded Project at IISER Thiruvananthapuram

Eligibility/Qualification
- Minimum Qualification: Post-graduate degree in biological sciences from a recognised university with first class.
- Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience with IHC, cell culture, mouse work, and molecular biology.
- Preference will be given to candidates who are keen to join the lab for the PhD program.
- Candidates must be able to start from 1st November, 2026.
- PhD Enrollment: Candidates are encouraged to enrol in the PhD program of IISER-TVM. Therefore, clearance of any of the eligibility criteria for a PhD position at IISER TVM is highly desirable. Refer to the IISER TVM PhD Eligibility Criteria for details.
- Age Limit: Maximum 35 years.
Job Description
The selected candidate will work on the research project funded by Cure Parkinson’s UK. The project aims to target metabolic dysregulations for neuroprotection in Parkinson’s disease.
- Number of Posts: One
- Fellowship Amount: Rs 31,000 + HRA (with an upgrade to SRF at the start of the 3rd year).
- Tenure of the Post: 3 years (The initial appointment is for 6 months; continuation is subject to satisfactory performance).
