Indian Institute of Engineering Science & Technology (IIEST), Shibpur has announced a walk-in interview for the recruitment of a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the Department of Chemistry. The position is under the ANRF-sponsored PAIR Network Project titled “An Eight Institution Partnership for Advancing Materials Research and Development: From Fundamental Design to Emerging Applications in Structural, Functional and Biomaterials Spaces”.

Eligibility/Qualification

  • Educational Qualification: M.Sc. in Chemistry or allied branches from a recognized University/Institute with a minimum of 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA on a 10-point scale, with a valid GATE/NET score.
  • Relaxation: For SC/ST/PwD category candidates, a minimum of 55% marks or 6.0 CGPA on a 10-point scale is required, along with a valid GATE/NET score.
  • Age Limit: Maximum 28 years. The upper age limit is relaxable up to 5 years for SC, ST, OBC, Woman, and Physically Handicapped candidates.

  • Project Title: An Eight Institution Partnership for Advancing Materials Research and Development: From Fundamental Design to Emerging Applications in Structural, Functional and Biomaterials Spaces
  • Sponsoring Authority: ANRF, Govt. of India
  • Project Code: DRC/ANRF-PAIR (4211)/CHEM/PB/010/25-26
  • Fellowship: Rs. 37,000/- p.m. + Rs. 11,100/- (30% HRA) = Rs. 48,100/- per month.
  • Duration of the Project: Five years from the date of commencement or till the project continues, whichever is earlier.

  4. Verification: Physical documents will be verified at the time of joining. The selection will be canceled if any discrepancies are found during verification.
