The Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IITG) has invited applications for an online interview for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under the research project titled “Futuristic risk assessment of temperature-humidity extremes due to climate change on human well-being and energy demand in the Indian sub-continent” at the School of Interdisciplinary Studies and Sustainability.

Eligibility / Qualifications
- Graduate / Post Graduate Degree in a professional course such as Water Resources Engg. / Energy / Electrical Engg.
- Must be selected through a process described via GATE or National Eligibility Test CSIR-UGC NET (including lectureship/Assistant Professorship).
- Alternatively, selection through National Level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies/Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IISc, IISER, etc.
- Preferred: Experience in Machine learning, Remote sensing, and climate change.
Job Description & Appointment Details
- Duration of Appointment: 11 months
- Pay & Allowances: Rs. 37,000 (Pay) + Rs. 5,920 (HRA) + Rs. 0 (Medical) = Total Amount of Rs. 42,920 per month.
- Interview Date & Time: 04 November 2026 (Wednesday) at 10.00 am.
- Mode of Interview: Online (Link will be shared one day before the interview to eligible candidates).
- Selection Process: Selection will be based on the performance of the candidate in the online interview. Separate call letters will not be sent.
