Eligibility & Qualification

Applicants must satisfy the following educational and national examination qualifications:

  • Educational Qualification: Post Graduate degree in Basic Science OR Graduate/Post Graduate degree in Professional Courses (M.Sc., B.E., B.Tech, B.Pharma).
  • National Level Examination (Any one required):
    1. Selected through National Eligibility Test – CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE.
    2. Selected through National Level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies/Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IISc, IISER, etc.

Job Description & Benefits

  • Duration of Appointment: 135 days
  • Pay Scale / Remuneration:
    • Pay Recommended: Rs. 37,000/-
    • HRA: Rs. 6,660/-
    • Total Amount: Rs. 43,660/- per month
  • Interview Venue: N-Block Conference room, BSBE, IIT Guwahati
  • Interview Date & Time: 23 October 2026 (Friday) at 10:00 AM (Offline Interview)
  • Accommodation & Travel: No campus accommodation will be available for selected candidates. No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the test/interview.
