IIT Gandhinagar Recruitment 2026: Project Attendant in Electrical Engineering
Applications are invited for a temporary position of Project Attendant at the Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IIT Gandhinagar) under the project titled “Silicon and Advanced Semiconductor Manufacturing Research and Training Hub (SAMARTH)” supervised by Prof. Nihar Ranjan Mohapatra in the Department of Electrical Engineering.

Eligibility / Qualification
Essential Qualification & Experience
- Diploma (03 years duration) after 12th in an appropriate discipline.
- Minimum of 02 years of post-qualification experience.
- Minimum 55% or equivalent grade in Class 10th and 12th.
- Minimum 60% or equivalent grade from graduation/diploma onwards.
Desirable Qualification & Experience
- Ability to operate laboratory tools and equipment and carry out their routine maintenance.
- Awareness of laboratory safety practices, including the safe handling of chemicals and gases.
- Good communication skills and a basic understanding of government procurement rules and regulations.
Job Description
- Support the day-to-day operation of the laboratories and cleanroom facility.
- Assist in equipment operation, laboratory setup, and material handling.
- Carry out preventive maintenance of laboratory tools and equipment.
- Maintain housekeeping of laboratory areas and manage the inventory of consumables.
- Ensure the safe and efficient functioning of the facility, following cleanroom and safety protocols.
Remuneration & Duration
- Consolidated Monthly Remuneration: ₹23,000/- to ₹41,000/- per month (based on qualification)
- Duration: One year, extendable based on satisfactory performance.
