Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IIT Gandhinagar) is inviting applications for the position of Project Associate II (Chemistry) for the project at the Center for Creative Learning under Principal Investigator Prof. Manish Jain. This role focuses on school STEM education through hands-on and inquiry-based learning.

Remuneration & Duration

  • Consolidated Remuneration: Rs 50,000 to Rs 90,000 per month (depending on qualification and experience)
  • House Rent Allowance (HRA): NA
  • Duration of Appointment: 1 Year

Eligibility / Qualification

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • M.Sc. in Chemistry OR B.Tech./B.E. in Chemistry-related engineering/technical field with a minimum of 02 years of post-qualification experience; OR
  • B.Sc. with Chemistry subject with a minimum of 06 years of post-qualification experience.
  • Minimum 60% or equivalent grade from graduation onwards, and 55% or equivalent grade in class 10th and 12th.

Desirable Qualifications & Background

  • Experience in teaching Chemistry to students of grades 8-12 (e.g., TGT, PGT, CBSE, IB, IGCSE, ICSE, and state boards).
  • Good communication and facilitation skills; professional fluency in spoken-written English and spoken Hindi; good digital documentation skills.
  • Experience in designing/conducting physical experiments, hands-on activities, and use of lab instruments.
  • 1 year experience in writing textbook chapters or making learning modules for grades 8-12 in ed-tech.

Job Description

Main responsibilities include, though are not limited to:

  • Create high-quality rigorous hands-on chemistry modules for grades 6-12 Chemistry and update/organize the resource repository.
  • Adapt, make, test, and optimize activities, models, and prototypes.
  • Documentation of manuals, chapters, worksheets, presentations, videos, and articles.
  • Convert relevant activity for models ready to use in schools with product specifications.
  • Coordinate and conduct the testing of content in schools.
