Research Area
The research area focuses on developing novel antiviral platforms and identifying drugs against henipaviruses, such as the Nipah virus and Hendra virus.
Eligibility / Qualification
Essential Qualification:
- Four years Bachelor’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences OR
- Master’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences OR
- BVSc / B. Pharm OR
- Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering / Biotechnology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent.
Desirable Qualification:
- Practical experience in mammalian cell culture, virus assays, protein expression and purification, and molecular biology techniques.
Age Limit:
Not more than 50 years on the date of the interview.
Job Description & Emoluments
The selected candidate will carry out research tasks associated with the project under the supervision of the Principal Investigator. The monthly emoluments are as follows:
- INR 37,000/- + 9% HRA: For scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests – CSIR-UGC NET including Lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE, or through a selection process conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions.
- INR 30,000/- + 9% HRA: For other candidates who do not qualify under the national level examination category.
