The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Pune has announced a walk-in interview for the recruitment of an ANRF Project Associate-I. This position is purely temporary and contractual, funded by the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF).

Project Title: “Design and Synthesis of Cyclic Alkyl Amino Olefin (CAAO) and Its Utility for the Isolation of Low-valent Main-Group Species” (Project Code: 34525789)

Location

Pune, Maharashtra, India

Eligibility/Qualification

  • Minimum Qualification: Master’s degree in Chemistry or related areas.
  • Preference: Candidates having experimental research experience in inorganic chemistry will be preferred.
  • Age Limit: Not more than 35 years as on the date of the walk-in interview (22.10.2026). Age relaxation may be considered for candidates with higher qualifications and experience with prior approval of the competent authority.

Job Description

The selected candidate will work on the design and synthesis of Cyclic Alkyl Amino Olefin (CAAO) and its utility for isolating low-valent main-group species under the guidance of the principal investigator.

Tenure & Emoluments

  • Tenure: Initially for a period of one year, extendable for a further period subject to satisfactory performance and continuation of the project.
  • Consolidated Emoluments:
    • Rs. 30,000 + 30% House Rent Allowance (HRA) per month.
    • Rs. 37,000 + 30% House Rent Allowance (HRA) per month for candidates having a valid CSIR-NET / GATE / DBT-JRF / any other National Level Test conducted by Central Government Departments and their agencies or equivalent scorecard.

Eligible Indian nationals can attend the Walk-in Interview. Candidates must report on time as those reporting after 10:30 AM will not be considered for the selection process.

  • Date & Time: Thursday, 22.10.2026 at 10:30 AM
  • Venue: Discussion Room No. 31, 2nd floor, IISER Pune Campus, Main Building.

Documents to Bring at the Time of Interview:

  1. Duly filled prescribed application form (can be downloaded via the link below).
  2. One set of self-attested photocopies along with original documents of:
    • Certificate regarding date of birth.
    • Mark sheets and certificates starting from 10th standard onward.
    • Experience certificates (if any).
    • One Government-issued Photo Identity proof.
  3. One recent passport-size color photograph.
