IISER Pune Recruitment 2026: Project Associate-II Posts
Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Pune has issued an official recruitment notification (Advt. No. 82/2026) inviting applications from Indian nationals for temporary and contractual positions of Project Associate-II under the National Quantum Mission (NQM).

Research Area
Quantum Computing under National Quantum Mission (NQM) to Foundation for QC Innovation (Thematic Hub) – Project Code: 30124736 (Funding Agency: Department of Science & Technology – DST).
Location
IISER Pune, Maharashtra, India.
Eligibility / Qualification
Minimum Educational Qualification (For both posts):
- Four-year Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent qualification from a recognized University / Institution; OR
- Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Physics or an equivalent qualification from a recognized University / Institution.
Experience:
- 2 years of relevant experience in R&D involving operation and maintenance of instruments.
- Preference: Candidates with experience in R&D laboratories will be preferred.
Age Limit: Not more than 35 years as on the last date of application.
Emoluments: Rs. 28,000/- + 30% House Rent Allowance (HRA) per month.
Tenure of Appointment: Initially for a period of one year, extendable for a further period subject to satisfactory performance and continuation of the project.
Job Description
Post No. 1: The incumbent will be responsible for operating and handling FESEM, micro / nano-patterning instrumentation, and Electron Beam Lithography (EBL) systems for advanced material characterization and fabrication.
Post No. 2: The incumbent will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and ensuring the safe and efficient functioning of the Liquid Helium Plant and various cryogenic systems.
