Summary

Integrated Test Range (ITR), Chandipur, a premier Laboratory of Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO), invites applications from young and meritorious Indian nationals for engagement as Graduate and Technician (Diploma) Apprentices. The training will be for a period of one year under the provisions of the Apprentice Act 1961 and Apprentice Rules 1992.

Designation

1. Graduate Apprentice

  • Total Vacancies: 30
  • Stipend: Rs. 12,300/- per month

2. Technician (Diploma) Apprentice

  • Total Vacancies: 22
  • Stipend: Rs. 10,900/- per month

Research Area

Defence R&D, Aerospace, Electronics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Safety Engineering, Library Science, Management (BBA/B.Com), Cinematography, and Medical Laboratory Technology.

Eligibility/Qualification

  • Educational Qualification:
    • Graduate Apprentice: B.E / B.Tech (Computer Science & Engg, Electronics Engg, Electrical Engg, Mechanical Engg, Aerospace Engg, Safety Engg), B.Lib.Sc in Library Science, BBA (Administration / HR), or B.Com (Financial / Cost Accounting).
    • Technician (Diploma) Apprentice: Diploma in Computer Science & Engg, Electronics Engg, Electrical Engg, Cinematography, or Medical Laboratory Technology.
  • Passing Year: Candidates who passed their degree/diploma in 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, and 2026 as REGULAR candidates are eligible. Those who passed prior to 2022 are not eligible.
  • NATS Registration: Candidates must have registered their names at NATS Portal. Non-registered candidates are likely to be rejected.
  • Ineligibility: Candidates with higher qualifications or those who have had prior job/training experience for 1 year or more after obtaining essential qualifications are NOT eligible.
  • Age Limit: Minimum age must not be less than 18 years. Maximum age and relaxations apply as per Apprenticeship rules and NATS/NAPS guidelines.

Job Description

Selected candidates will undergo one year of apprenticeship training at ITR, Chandipur. The engagement is strictly temporary for 12 months starting from the execution of the contract. The organization holds no obligation to offer regular employment after completion of the apprenticeship training period.
