Summary

CSIR – National Aerospace Laboratories (CSIR-NAL), a premier research laboratory under the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), has invited candidates for a Walk-in-Interview for engagement of Project Staff (Project Associate I & II, Project Assistant I & II, and Senior PAT) on a purely temporary and contractual basis. Eligible Indian nationals are invited to attend the walk-in interview scheduled between November 12 and November 23, 2026, at CSIR-NAL, Bengaluru.

Eligibility / Qualification

Educational Qualifications & Experience:

  • Project Assistant – I (PA-I): SSC/10th plus ITI Fitter.
  • Project Assistant – II (PA-II): B.Sc or 3-Year Diploma in Engg/Tech (ECE/CS/IT) OR Any Stream with photography & videography editing skills.
  • Project Associate – I (PAT-I): Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology OR Master’s/Integrated Master’s degree from a recognized University in the relevant discipline.
  • Project Associate – II (PAT-II): Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology + 2 years of R&D experience OR Master’s/Integrated Master’s in Engineering/Technology in the relevant discipline.
  • Senior PAT: Bachelor’s degree in Engg/Tech + 3 years of R&D experience OR Master’s/Integrated Master’s in Engg/Tech + 2 years of R&D experience.

Age Limit & Emoluments:

  • Project Assistant – I: Up to 35 years | Stipend: ₹18,000/- + HRA
  • Project Assistant – II: Up to 35 years | Stipend: ₹20,000/- + HRA
  • Project Associate – I: Up to 35 years | Stipend: ₹25,000/- + HRA (₹31,000/- + HRA for NET/GATE)
  • Project Associate – II: Up to 35 years | Stipend: ₹28,000/- + HRA (₹35,000/- + HRA for NET/GATE)
  • Senior PAT: Up to 40 years | Stipend: ₹42,000/- + HRA

Note: Age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST/PwBD/Women and 3 years for OBC candidates as per GoI rules.

Job Description

  • Detailed design engineering of Hydraulic Systems, CAD modeling, and FEA analysis.
  • Tool design of composite parts, tool CAD modeling, drafting using CATIA/Draftsight, and manufacturing engineering CAD data support.
  • UAV piloting (Fixed-Wing & Multirotor), integration of autopilot & Ground Control Station (GCS) software, troubleshooting, and sub-systems assembly.
  • Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis, mesh generation, thermal & heat transfer experimentation.
  • Autoclave maintenance, operation, and calibration.
  • Metallurgical evaluation, scanning electron microscopy, R&D on high-temperature shape memory alloys, and airworthiness qualification studies.
  • Microcontroller/Microprocessor embedded systems, power electronics, C/Python programming, MATLAB/Simulink model-based design, and AI model development for electromagnetic applications.
  • Development of wind tunnel controls, DAQ, computer vision, deep learning for aerial imagery, and gimbal control.
  • Wiring instrumentation, sensor mounting, photography, videography, and media editing.

How to Apply

  • Interested and eligible candidates must attend the Walk-in-Interview in person. Do NOT send applications by post, speed post, or email.
  • Candidates should report to the venue: CSIR-NAL (RAB Meeting Complex), Adjacent to SBI NAL Branch, Kodihalli, Bengaluru – 560017 between 9.00 AM and 9.30 AM on the scheduled date.
  • Bring the duly filled-in Application Form (prescribed format), a recent passport-size photograph, original educational/experience certificates, caste/category certificate (if applicable), along with one set of self-attested photocopies.
  • Bring a valid Government-issued Photo ID Card (Aadhaar Card, Passport, etc.).
  • Candidates currently working in CSIR/CSIR-NAL must produce a “No Objection Certificate” (NOC) from their Project Leader/HOD at the time of interview.
