CSIR-CSMCRI Recruitment 2026 for 43 Apprentice Trainee Positions
CSIR – Central Salt & Marine Chemicals Research Institute (CSMCRI), Bhavnagar has released an official advertisement (Advt. No. Apprentice/2026-27) inviting applications from eligible candidates for engagement as Apprentice Trainees under the Apprentices Act, 1961. Opportunities are available across various ITI trades, Engineering Diplomas, and Graduate Engineering degrees.
Summary
CSIR-CSMCRI is inviting offline applications along with mandatory online portal registration for 43 Apprentice Trainee posts in multiple trades and technical disciplines. Candidates who have passed their relevant qualification within the last 3 years and have not previously undergone apprenticeship training are eligible to apply.

Eligibility / Qualification
To be eligible for engagement, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Educational Qualifications:
- ITI Trades (Sr. No. 1 to 12): ITI Pass in the concerned trade (Fitter, Electrician, Carpenter, Plumber, Instrument Mechanic, RAC Mechanic, Draughtsman Civil, Electronic Mechanic, COPA, Turner, Welder, Machinist).
- Diploma Positions (Sr. No. 13 to 15): Diploma in Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering.
- Graduate Positions (Sr. No. 16 to 18): Graduate Degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering.
- Passing Year: Must have passed the qualifying exam in the concerned trade/discipline during the last 3 years.
- Prior Training: Must not have availed Apprenticeship Training at any institution previously.
- Registration: Must be registered on the official Apprenticeship Portal (NAPS for ITI trades; NATS for Diploma/Degree holders).
Job Description
Selected candidates will undergo practical apprenticeship training in accordance with the Apprentices Act, 1961. Vacancies are categorized under two main bodies:

- Register on the appropriate Apprenticeship Portal:
- For ITI Trades (Sr. 1–12): Register at Apprenticeship India Portal.
- For Diploma/Graduate Degree (Sr. 13–18): Register at NATS Portal.
- Download the application form from the CSIR-CSMCRI official website or collect it in person from the Recruitment Cell of the institute during office hours.
- Fill up the application form completely in your own handwriting using BLOCK letters. Ensure full postal address, valid email ID, and mobile number are provided.
- Attach self-attested copies of the required documents:
- SSC & HSC Marksheets (if applicable)
- ITI / Diploma / Degree Certificates & Marksheets
- Proof of Date of Birth
- Aadhaar Card
- Caste Certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS, if applicable)
- Printout of the Profile Registration done on the respective Apprenticeship Portal
- Affix a recent signed passport-size photograph on the top right corner and sign at the designated place.
- Submit the completed application form to the Recruitment Cell of the Institute on or before the deadline.
