BRIC-RGCB Recruitment 2026: Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical)
Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology (BRIC-RGCB), Thiruvananthapuram, invites online applications from suitable Indian citizens for the temporary position of Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical) under an ICMR/MAHA MedTech-funded project.

Eligibility / Qualification
Essential Qualifications
- MSc or equivalent degree in any branch of Life Sciences with at least 70% marks.
- Minimum of one year of experience in Membrane Protein Purification (a documented experience certificate is required).
Desirable Qualifications
- Minimum of one year of experience in handling Biophysical techniques.
Age Limit
Below 35 years as on 14th October 2026. Age relaxation will be given as per Government of India norms.
Job Description
The selected candidate will work in the Laboratory of Dr. Mahendran K R, Scientist E-II at BRIC-RGCB on the project titled “An AI-Integrated Ultrasensitive Nanopore Sensing System for Non-invasive Early Detection of Cervical Cancer”.
- Emoluments: ₹ 56,000/- + 20% HRA per month.
- Duration: Initially for a period of one year or till termination of the project, whichever is earlier. It is extendable based on performance evaluation and is co-terminus with the project.
- Selection Process: Candidates will be shortlisted based on eligibility criteria and invited for an online selection interview. Final selection will depend on qualifications and performance in the interview.
