Research Area

CSIR-ASPIRE Project titled: “Preclinical Studies on Targeting Beta-hCG as a Treatment Strategy for BRCA1 Promoter Hypermethylated Breast Cancers”.

Location

Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology (BRIC-RGCB), Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India.

Eligibility / Qualification

Essential Qualifications

  • B.S. 4 years programme / BPharm / MBBS / Integrated BS-MS / MSc / BE / BTech or equivalent degree with at least 55% marks.
  • Passing of NET/GATE test in any branch of Life Sciences (As per CSIR guidelines for Research Scheme/Sponsored Schemes).

Desirable Qualifications

  • 2 years of experience in molecular biology techniques, cloning, transfection and transduction, and animal cell culture.

Age Limit

Upper age limit is 28 years as on November 01, 2026. Age relaxation will be provided as per Government of India norms.

Job Description

The selected Junior Research Fellow will work under the CSIR-ASPIRE project in the laboratory of Dr. Priya Srinivas (Scientist G & Dean) at BRIC-RGCB. The position is purely project-based and co-terminus with the end of the project. Selection to this temporary role does not entitle the candidate to any future positions (permanent or otherwise) at RGCB.
