Applications are invited from eligible candidates for a temporary position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the Department of Biological Sciences and Bioengineering at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur (Advt No: P.Rect./R&D/2026/222).

Job Summary

IIT Kanpur is inviting applications from motivated candidates with a background in Life Sciences for a JRF post. The selected candidate will work under Dr. Arun K. Shukla in the Department of Biological Sciences & Bioengineering.

Position Details

  • Research Area: Biological Sciences & Bioengineering (Molecular Biology, Cell Culture Assays, Protein Purification, Cellular Signaling)
  • Location: IIT Kanpur, Kanpur – 208016, Uttar Pradesh, India
  • Remuneration / Salary: INR 37,000/- per month

Eligibility & Qualification

  • Minimum Qualification: M.Sc. in any branch of Life Sciences.
  • Desirable Qualification: Qualified CSIR-NET / GATE / DBT-JRF.
  • Desirable Work Experience: Hands-on experience in molecular biology techniques, cell culture assays, expression and purification of proteins, and cellular signaling.

Job Description

The position is purely temporary, initially offered for a period of one year. It can be extended further based on the candidate’s performance up to the duration of the project.

Note: Only applicants who meet the minimum eligibility criteria and desirable work experience will be shortlisted for the interview. The selection interview will be conducted online, and no TA/DA will be paid.
