Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IIT Gandhinagar) is inviting applications for the position of Project Associate – I under a MEITY-sponsored project in the Department of Electrical Engineering. Qualified candidates with an engineering or technical background interested in VLSI design and AI accelerator chips are encouraged to apply.

Eligibility / Qualification
Essential Qualification:
- Master’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences / MVSc or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent.
- Minimum of 60% or equivalent grade from graduation onwards and 55% or equivalent grade in 10th and 12th standards.
Desirable Qualification:
- BTech / BE / MTech / ME degree in Electrical / Electronics / Electronics and Communications / Electronics and Instrumentation / Computer Science and Engineering / Computer Science or related disciplines with at least 60% or equivalent.
- Preference for candidates with experience using VLSI EDA tools and good programming skills (C / C++ / Python, Verilog / System Verilog, or equivalent).
- Interest in computer architecture and knowledge of system simulators.
- Exposure to Analog circuits, ADCs, DACs, and chip tape-out experience is preferable.
Job Description
The candidate is expected to have an excellent understanding of Digital & Analog Circuits, VLSI design, and exposure to relevant VLSI tools and techniques for the MEITY-sponsored C2S project under PI Prof. Joycee Mekie.
Remuneration & Duration:
- Monthly Remuneration: Rs. 25,000 OR Rs. 31,000 (if GATE qualified)
- House Rent Allowance (HRA): Rs. 6,000 OR Rs. 7,440 per month (if GATE qualified)
- Duration: 1 year
