Eligibility / Qualification
Minimum Qualifications:
- Four years Bachelor’s degree in Civil / Agricultural / Geomatics Engineering AND Two-Year Master’s degree in Civil / Agricultural and allied Engineering disciplines with specialization in Hydrology / Hydraulics / Water Resources / Irrigation Water Management / Irrigation and Drainage Engineering or Equivalent.
- Candidates should have passed GATE OR clear the National Level selection processes to be conducted by IIT Madras specific to this announcement.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Candidates with expertise in GIS (QGIS, ArcGIS), Field Hydrology, measurements, and hydrologic modelling (Mike+, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM) will be given preference.
Job Description
The candidate will serve as a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) on a purely contractual basis under the co-ordination of Prof. Balaji Narasimhan in the Department of Civil Engineering, IIT Madras. The contract is initially for six months and may be extended further based on candidate performance.
