Indian Institute of Technology Ropar (IIT Ropar) invites applications from eligible Indian Nationals for 4 Project Associate-I positions under the research project titled “Transforming Mobility with a futuristic approach (Mobility-X)” (Project No. 23(2)/2025-ESDA). The project is headed by Principal Investigator (PI) Dr. Ashwani Sharma, Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at IIT Ropar.

Research Area

RF Microwave Engineering, Communication Engineering, RFID Technology, Intelligent Transport Systems, ADS, HFSS, CST, and Application Development.

Location

Department of Electrical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Ropar (IIT Ropar), Punjab, India.

Eligibility / Qualification

  • Educational Qualification: B.Tech / B.E. / M.Sc. or M.Tech. / M.E. / M.S. in Electrical Engineering / Electronics and Communication Engineering / Computer Science or equivalent field with at least 60% marks (or 6 grade points out of 10).
  • National Test Requirement: Valid GATE score or pass in other National Eligibility Tests / National Level examinations conducted by Central Government Institutions.
  • Note: Applicants without GATE may also be considered with lower emoluments as per Institute rules.

Job Description & Details

  • Nature of Post: Purely temporary basis.
  • Duration: For a period of 3 years (the position will terminate with the closure of the project).
  • Monthly Salary: Rs. 37,000 + 10% HRA (for candidates meeting GATE/National level exam criteria).
  • Joining: The selected candidates are expected to join immediately.
  • Selection Process: Only shortlisted candidates will be communicated through email to appear for an interview.
