Applications are invited for one temporary position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the Department of Mathematical Sciences, Indian Institute of Technology (BHU), Varanasi. The position is sanctioned under the ANRF-IRG scheme for a project titled “Advanced Neural Network-Based Analysis of Selected Mathematical Models in Science and Engineering”.

Summary

IIT (BHU) Varanasi is hiring a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for an ANRF-IRG funded research project in Mathematical Sciences. The candidate will work under Principal Investigator Prof. Rajeev for a total project duration of up to 36 months.

Eligibility / Qualification

  • Educational Qualification: Post-graduation in Mathematics with a minimum of 55% marks (or equivalent grade).
  • National Exam Qualification: Qualified in CSIR/UGC-NET, GATE, or equivalent examinations as per the funding agency (ANRF) specifications.
  • Age Limit: Upper age limit is 28 years (Age relaxation applicable as per Government of India norms).

Job Description

The selected candidate will be involved in research under Project No. ANRF/IRG/2025/000423/MS. The position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project.

  • Duration: 2.3 years / 36 months (Initial appointment is for one year, extendable based on performance).
  • Emoluments:
    • First and Second Year: Rs. 37,000 per month + HRA
    • Third Year: Rs. 42,000 per month + HRA
