Eligibility / Qualification
Educational Qualifications:
- M.E / M.Tech, M.Sc / M.A in Environmental Sciences, Economics, Management, or MBA.
- Candidates with a multidisciplinary background will be highly valued.
Experience & Skill Requirements:
- Experience in content development, preferably within an academic setting, will be a plus.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace (Gmail, Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Spreadsheets) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Familiarity with social media platforms (LinkedIn, X/Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram).
- Familiarity with the IIT Madras ecosystem is desirable.
- Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
Job Description
The primary responsibility involves coordinating the upcoming NPTEL course “Sustainability for All” in collaboration with the Center for Outreach and Digital Education (CODE), alongside supporting existing capacity-building initiatives. Responsibilities include:
- Developing the curriculum for the 4-week NPTEL MOOC “Sustainability for All” aimed at college students across India.
- Mapping appropriate thematic experts to serve as course instructors and maintaining communication with them.
- Providing day-to-day support to the IIT Madras CODE Team for managing course activities (faculty coordination, technical editing of course videos, reviewing transcripts and assignments, interacting via Discussion Forums).
- Supporting the development of course assessment tools to gather learner feedback for refining future cohorts.
- Executing existing School of Sustainability course modules aligned with the project themes.
- Creating reports, flyers, brochures, and social media content to maintain an active public presence.
