Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IIT Gandhinagar) invites applications from eligible candidates for a temporary position of Project Attendant to work on the project titled “Silicon and Advanced Semiconductor Manufacturing Research and Training Hub (SAMARTH)” in the Department of Electrical Engineering.

Position Details

  • Designation: Project Attendant
  • Number of Positions: 01 (One)
  • Research Area / Department: Electrical Engineering / Semiconductor Manufacturing (SAMARTH Project)
  • Location: IIT Gandhinagar
  • Monthly Remuneration: ₹23,000/- to ₹41,000/- per month (consolidated, based on qualification)
  • Duration: One year (extendable based on satisfactory performance)

Eligibility / Qualification

Essential Qualification & Experience

  • Diploma (03 years duration) after 12th in an appropriate discipline.
  • A minimum of 02 years of post-qualification experience.
  • Minimum 55% or equivalent grade in class 10th and 12th.
  • Minimum 60% or equivalent grade from graduation onwards.

Desirable Qualification & Experience

  • Ability to operate laboratory tools and equipment and carry out their routine maintenance.
  • Awareness of laboratory safety practices, including the safe handling of chemicals and gases.
  • Good communication skills and a basic understanding of government procurement rules and regulations.

Job Description

The appointed Project Attendant will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Support the day-to-day operation of the laboratories and cleanroom facility.
  • Assist in equipment operation, laboratory setup, and material handling.
  • Carry out preventive maintenance of laboratory tools and equipment.
  • Maintain housekeeping of laboratory areas and manage the inventory of consumables.
  • Ensure the safe and efficient functioning of the facility, following cleanroom and safety protocols.
