BRIC-RGCB Recruitment: Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical)

Applications are invited from suitable Indian citizens for the temporary post of Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical) to work in an ICMR/MAHA MedTech-funded project at IndZita Biotech Pvt. Ltd. (a startup incubated at BRIC-RGCB), Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology (BRIC-RGCB), Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.
Job Overview
- Designation: Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical)
- Research Area: An AI-Integrated Ultrasensitive Nanopore Sensing System for Non-invasive Early Detection of Cervical Cancer
- Location: Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala
- Emolument: ₹ 56,000/- + 20% HRA per month
- Duration: Initially for one year or till termination of the project, extendable based on performance evaluation.
Eligibility & Qualification
Essential Qualifications
- B. Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering or equivalent.
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience in designing driver circuits for micro-pumps, solenoid valves, and piezoelectric actuators to precisely control fluid flow.
- Amperometry measurements and sensing at nano-amp range for biosensors.
- CAD Modelling and 3D printing experience is an added bonus.
- Design, lay out, and test multi-layer low-noise PCBs. Proficiency in CAD tools (Altium, KiCAD, or Eagle) and hardware testing equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers).
Age Limit
Below 35 years on 14th October 2026. Age relaxation will be given as per Govt. of India norms.
Job Description & Details
The candidate will be working on the ICMR/MAHA MedTech-funded project focused on developing an AI-integrated ultrasensitive nanopore sensing system for cervical cancer detection. The position is co-terminus with the end of the project and does not entitle the candidate to future positions at RGCB.
