Indian Institute of Engineering Science & Technology (IIEST), Shibpur has invited applications for a Walk-in Interview for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) on a contractual basis. The recruitment is for the research project titled “Evaluation of Compositional Variations in Locally Available Common Homoeopathic Medicines”, sponsored by CCRH, Ministry of AYUSH, Govt. of India.

Eligibility & Qualification

Essential Qualification:

Master’s degree in Pharmacy / Pharmaceutical Sciences / Medicine / Chemistry / Biochemistry / Physics / Biotechnology / Biomedical engineering / Natural sciences / Physiology / Food Technology OR any allied fields in Life Sciences from a recognized University or equivalent with first class or equivalent grade.

Desirable Qualification:

  • GATE / NET qualification.
  • Experience working in the related research field.
  • Experience handling FTIR, Raman, DLS, and other spectroscopic data.
  • Exposure to various Molecular Biology techniques.

Age Limit:

Maximum 28 years. The upper age limit is relaxable by up to 5 years for SC/ST/OBC/Woman/PWD/EWS candidates as per Govt. of India and ANRF rules.

Job Description & Fellowship Details

  • Project Title: Evaluation of Compositional Variations in Locally Available Common Homoeopathic Medicines
  • Project ID: CCRH-2/037/2025-26

  • Sponsoring Authority: CCRH, Ministry of AYUSH, Govt. of India
  • Duration: Initially for 06 months. Extendable annually based on performance evaluation up to 36 months or till project completion, whichever is earlier.
  • Fellowship:
    • 1st & 2nd Year: Rs. 37,000/- p.m. + Rs 11,100/- (30% HRA) = Rs. 48,100/- per month
    • 3rd Year: Rs. 42,000/- p.m. + Rs 12,600/- (30% HRA) = Rs. 54,600/- per month
