Eligibility / Qualification

  • Master’s Degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, or a related field from a recognized University or equivalent.
  • Must fulfill guidelines as per DST-OM number SR/S9/Z-05/2019 dated July 10, 2020.
  • Upper age limit: 35 years (Reservation of posts as per Govt. of India norms).
  • Desirable: Candidates who have completed their M.Sc. dissertation related to Plant Sciences/Plant Molecular Biology/Plant Biotechnology. University rank holders or those with at least one first-author publication in a Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal will be given preference.

Job Description

The selected candidate will work on the temporary position under the supervision of Dr. Gopaljee Jha, Scientist, BRIC-NIPGR, for the DBT-CRG multi-institutional project titled “Antifungal peptide-based formulation for management of sheath blight disease in rice”. The initial appointment will be for one year or till the tenability of the project, whichever is earlier, and is co-terminus with the project.

Eligible and interested candidates may appear for a walk-in-interview at the National Institute of Plant Genome Research (NIPGR), Aruna Asaf Ali Marg, New Delhi-110067. Candidates must bring a duly filled-in application form in the prescribed format along with educational certificates, which must be submitted at the time of registration from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on the interview date. Candidates reporting after 11:00 a.m. will not be entertained.
