The National Institute of Technology Durgapur (NIT Durgapur), Department of Chemical Engineering, is inviting applications from eligible Indian nationals for the position of Senior Project Associate. This temporary position is for an Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) sponsored research project led by Principal Investigator Professor (HAG) Parimal Pal.
Project Details
- Project Title: Design-to-Scale Framework for Solar-Assisted Membrane Systems for Lithium and Water Recovery from Lithium mine Aqueous Streams: A Proof-of-Concept Study with Industry-Supported Deployment Strategy

Membrane synthesis, characterization, modelling, and application, as well as membrane process design and solar-driven Direct Contact Membrane Distillation (DCMD) systems.
Eligibility & Qualifications
- Qualification: Doctoral Degree (Ph.D.) in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry from a recognized University/Institute.
- Specialization: Membrane synthesis, characterization, modelling and application, and membrane process design.
Job Description
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Working on the development of a membrane system for the recovery of Lithium and water using a Solar Driven DCMD system.
- System modelling.
- Preparation of technical reports.
- Writing research articles for publication.
