Project Associate-I Recruitment at NIT Durgapur (ANRF Sponsored Project)

The Department of Electrical Engineering at the National Institute of Technology Durgapur (NIT Durgapur) has announced an advertisement for the recruitment of a Project Associate-I. This position is for a collaborative R&D project with IIT Kanpur, sponsored by the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF).
Project Overview
The project, titled “Grid Readiness for Electrical Vehicle (EV): Enablers and Technological developments (GREET)”, focuses on assessing the impact of large-scale EV charging infrastructure on distribution grids. It aims to develop optimal planning models, scheduling algorithms, and advanced power converter control schemes to ensure grid stability and efficient integration of renewable energy.

Eligibility & Qualification
Essential Qualifications
- Four years Bachelor’s degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Electrical Engineering / Electrical and Electronics Engineering / Computer Science Engineering or Technology from a recognized University or equivalent.
- OR
- M.E. / M.Tech in Electrical Engineering / Electrical and Electronics Engineering / Computer Science Engineering.
Desirable Qualifications
Candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas will be preferred:
- Experience in power electronic-based circuit simulation & fabrication, and microcontroller-based applications.
- Proficiency in MATLAB, C, C++, and Python programming.
- Expertise in running programs in Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) using Real-Time Simulators.
- Expertise in developing mobile applications, software, or webpages.
Fellowship & Remuneration
- Rs. 37,000/- per month + HRA (as per Institute norms) for scholars selected through National Eligibility Tests (CSIR-UGC NET including Lectureship/Assistant Professorship, or GATE) OR through national-level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies/Institutions.
- Rs. 30,000/- per month + HRA (as per Institute norms) for other candidates who do not meet the above criteria.

Selection Process
- Shortlisted candidates will be notified via email.
