Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Bhopal invites applications from motivated Indian nationals for the position of Project Associate-II. This position is part of a project funded by the National Quantum Mission DST, Government of India.

Job Details

  • Designation: Project Associate-II

  • Project Title: Quantum Communication (Project No. DSTNQM/EEC/2024-2025/121)
  • Research Area: Quantum physics and communication networks, simulation of hybrid quantum communication networks
  • Location: IISER Bhopal, India
  • Duration: Initially for eight months, extendable for a second year based on performance and mutual interest.
  • Emoluments: ₹28,000/- per month + 18% HRA (salary may be increased if the candidate has a superior skillset).

Eligibility / Qualification

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Physics, Electronics Engineering Sciences, Computer Science, or equivalent from a recognized University/Institute.
  • Consistently good academic record (First class/Division or minimum CPI of 7.0/10.0).

Desirable Qualifications

  • Proficiency in computer programming (Python or any other programming/scripting language).

Job Description

The project lies at the interface of quantum physics and communication networks. By building realistic models for quantum communications, the project aims to explore the simulation of hybrid quantum communication networks using both classical and quantum communication protocols.
