Applications are invited for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to work on an ANRF-funded research project in the Department of Physics, Institute of Science, Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi. The position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project.

Fellowship / Emoluments

Rs. 37,000/- per month + HRA (as per University rules)

Eligibility / Qualification

  • Essential Qualification: M.Sc. degree in Physics with 55% marks and above, and must have qualified NET/GATE examination.
  • Desirable Qualification: Candidate with research experience in material science / chalcogenide-Polymer Composites will be preferred.
  • Age Limit: Upper age limit is 28 years. Age relaxation of up to 5 years is applicable for SC/ST, female, and physically challenged candidates, and 3 years for OBC-NCL candidates. SC/ST candidates will be preferred as per G.O.I. rules, all other things being equal.

Job Description

The selected candidate will carry out research work related to the development and characterization of functional chalcogenide-polymer composites designed for flexible and wearable electronics applications under the supervision of Principal Investigator Prof. Horesh Kumar.
